Canadian Franchise Law: a Practical Guide, Third Edition to be published this year!

McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP is pleased to announce that the third edition of the best-selling text on franchise law, Canadian Franchise Law: a Practical Guide will be published this December by Lexis-Nexis Butterworths.  Much has changed in the legal landscape since the second edition was published almost five years ago, and the newest edition, co-authored by Daniel So and Melissa Won, will contain significant changes and updates to the state of the law governing and affecting franchising in Canada.

Brand new chapters dealing with the draft franchise legislation in British Columbia, bringing foreign franchised systems to Canada, and comprehensive updates relating to the refined disclosure regime in many provinces in Canada will feature prominently in the third edition, as will a brand new annotated franchise agreement and franchise disclosure document, or FDD.
