McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP together with Koskie Minskey LLP and Champ and Associates are pursuing a class action on behalf of former and current prisoners in Ontario provincial correctional institutions, between May 30, 2009 and November 27, 2017.
The lawsuit alleges that Ontario was negligent and breached prisoners’ Charter rights by locking them down for extended periods, because of province-wide understaffing.
