McKenzie Lake Lawyers Supports United Way with Annual Fundraising Events

In early November, we kicked off our annual United Way fundraising with a 50/50 draw followed by Dress-Down week, more draws and of course the annual Scotiabank StairClimb.

This year we didn’t have to go far to participate as we climbed the stairs in our own office building, walked around the block and did a few jumping jacks to “step up” for United Way and our community! We are also participating in the United Way Lawyer Leadership Challenge, a friendly fundraising event between local law firms.

To date, we have raised $1,941. Proceeds go towards supporting local people and families in our London community. Thanks to Alice Van Deven and Chelsea Smith for leading our office throughout this campaign and thank you to all of our volunteers who literally stepped up to participate.

United Way Elgin Middlesex is the largest non-government funder of social services in Elgin and Middlesex counties. They tackle issues related to poverty and social exclusion, helping people in our communities achieve a good quality of life.
