Biography
“I believe in healthy families after separation and divorce. Every day I work to ensure that spouses find a financial and parenting solution that keeps their children’s best interest in mind.”
During decades of representing clients in adversarial family law litigation, Alfred Mamo saw first hand the financial, emotional, and psychological devastation that the process causes families in Court.
Alf is now using that experience to assist those in the middle of a separation or divorce to achieve a fair and reasonable solution to their differences, focusing on the objectives and expectations of each spouse, he is able to come up with a fair resolution often in just one day of mediation. In parenting cases, Alf often uses his knowledge of child development to assist the parents to come up with a plan that is informed by current literature on parenting in the best interests of the children after separation and divorce.
In addition to a busy family law mediation practice, Alf is highly sought after to arbitrate high conflict and significant high net worth cases when lawyers wish to opt out of the court system and have their clients’ issues resolved privately with a family law expert who acts as a private judge, conducts a hearing and renders a decision that is binding on the parties.
In addition to his extensive knowledge of the law, Alf is known for his compassion and appreciation of the client’s emotions. He understands the frustrations and emotions associated with separation and divorce. Not only does he acknowledge the client’s feelings, he also takes them in consideration when suggesting solutions. His interest in every case is to come up with a win/win recommendation that focuses on each spouse’s ability to move forward with a financial and parenting plan free of legal costs and wrangling.
